Purchasing Manager

We are seeking for a Purchasing Manager whowill responsible for the purchase of goods and materials required by the hotelin adherence to policy and with cost reduction and profitability, as well as beresponsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:


  • Assistthe Purchasing Manager with the purchasing of all goods and equipment requiredby the hotel;

  • Supervisethe purchase of correct goods and materials at a competitive price and properquantities/volumes

  • Assignedstaff, including training, evaluating performance and scheduling work;

  • Monitorcashiering procedures and any related problems closely and in coordination withthe finance department;

  • Workclosely with housekeeping manager, front office manager & maintenancemanager to ensure standards are adhered;

  • Overseeinventory and ordering supplies and linens for housekeeping department, front officedepartment & maintenance department;

  • Ensurethat sufficient staffing is present to meet daily business demands;

  • Performdaily room and property inspections;

  • Proficientin property management systems;

  • Beresponsible for Life-Safety & Hygiene compliance;

  • Ensurethe departments adhere to Bougainvile Bay Resort & SPA policies andprocedures;

  • Performother related duties, as assigned;

Requirements(Key Skills)

  • Degree inHospitality Management or equivalent;

  • Seniorleadership experience in Front Office/Housekeeping is preferred;

  • Experienceof working with high volume occupancy levels;

  • Strongleadership skills to manage and motivate the team;

  • Excellentorganizational and planning skills;

  • Excellentcommunication skills;

  • Goodfinancial awareness;

  • Demonstratedcustomer service skills;

  • Abilityto work under pressure;

  • Strongcomputer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs;

  • Fluencyin English language, other languages are considered a plus;
