For our client - a Canadian educational institution in Tirana, we are looking for an: ACADEMIC DIRECTOR &TEACHER




DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES

As an academic director

• Prepare the overall academic program for all classes/group ages
• Break down the academic program into monthly & weekly activities
• Deliver the program to the teachers
• Follow up with the teachers on how the program is being implemented and understood by the children
• Prepare the outline of the trimester reports and follow up with the teachers till the delivery
• Cooperate closely with the teachers

As a teacher

• Motivate and stimulate a child's learning abilities, often encouraging learning through experience
• Provide pastoral care and support to children within a secure learning environment
• Assist with the development of a child's personal, social, language and physical coordination abilities
• Develop and produce visual aids and teaching resources
• Encourage mathematical and creative development through stories, songs, games, drawing and imaginative play
• Help children develop curiosity and knowledge
• Work with others, including teaching assistants and nursery nurses as well as volunteer helpers, to plan and coordinate work both indoors and outdoor
  
• Share knowledge gained with other practitioners and build and maintain relationships with parents
  
• Observe, assess and record each child's progress
  
• Ensure the health and safety of children and staff is maintained during all activities, both inside and outside the nursery or school
  
• Attend staff meetings and staff training days
  
• Keep up to date with changes in the curriculum and developments in best practice.
  
• To contribute fully as a team member sharing the development of effective practice.
  
• To maintain a positive ethos this reflects the pedagogy, and policies of the school.
  
• To fully embrace the every child matters agenda developing partnerships within the curriculum that ensure children and families thrive

REQUIREMENTS

Education: Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree English Language Studies

Work Experiences:

• Must have between 5 to 10 years of teaching experience with children of ages 2 – 6.
• Must have between 2 to 5 years of experience in leading positions.
• Must have excellent command of the English language

BENEFITS

• Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
• Official holidays are off
• Holidays are the 3 first weeks of August & 1 week in December
